My first year of teaching is over....

Well I just finished my first year of teaching....

More than anything I am relieved for summer. It was a fun year and there is definitely a lot to be grateful for but I am just so glad it's over. However here are the things that got me through:

My awesome team!

A trip to Disneyland!

Sonic cherry limeades!

Cupcakes!

Girls nights- watching movies or eating out!

Music- Eminem, Rhianna, Gary Allen, Lady Gaga, Adele, Taylor Swift, Country Strong soundtrack, and so many more....

Coming home to my awesome family who I could whine to (my sister) or play with (Cody and the girls)...

A trip to Texas!

United Streaming (the Internet site we use to watch movies at school)

Target runs!

All the field trips/special days we had- Our Farm Picnic, Polar Express day, Water day, etc...

Leapfrog videos....

The card my mom gave me in the beginning when times were tough...

And honestly just knowing that in the eternal perspective at the end of the day you just do your best and try to be a good person and life is a success!

I'm so glad it's over and that I know I will only get better (or I can always quit and do something else, jk). Next year will be especially tough with all the changes and extra pressure but I know I can do it and I'm gonna enjoy my summer!

It's break time!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on Christmas break!!! I'm really happy about this!!! I don't have to go to school, write any papers, do any projects, nothing!!!!!

So anyways since I am on break i figured I should blog. However, I can't think of a thing to blog about! :) When I was in school and had no time to blog there were tons of things i wanted to blog about.... Oh well.

Let's See, one exciting thing that happened recently is that I went through the temple. It was a really nice day with friends and family. I'm excited to go back now that I got everything all taken care of because if you know me you know nothing ever goes smoothly in my life and of course the barcode on my recommend was never activated so i showed up and almost did not get in { :) } Not only that but the boundaries in my area changed and I got moved to a new stake and ward so it wasn't as simple as calling someone to have it activated. I had to go through the process of getting a new recommend, with a bishop I had never met before in the new stake, fun times! Anyways, I'm not complaining just putting in writing what always seems to happen so some day I can look back on all these things and laugh....

So I said I had nothing to do during break which is a lie. I have to prepare to student teach next month. Which I am really nervous about! I hate being watched while I do something especially when I know they are judging, grading, me. So wish me well and I am sure I will have some funny stories to post about once I start.
That's all for now until I figure out what else I had meant to write about....
Ignore spelling mistakes I'm too lazy to check and I just got out of school so give me a break :)

Busy, busy, busy...

I probably won't be blogging anytime soon because of school and interning and all that. However some exciting things are coming up and I will probably blog about them so check back soon. Don't give up on me though I will return and blog regularly when school is out.

Sam

My sister is the nicest person in the world. She's so smart and nice! I wish I could follow her around all day long! Her kids are the most well behaved kids I have ever seen! She has the cleanest house I have ever been to! She makes the best food ever! And I will not delete this entry because she is jus the best. I want the world to know this!!!

Bugs....

So the first example of me "Flipping Out" involves bugs. If you know me you should know my intense fear of bugs.... One example: a roach was once in our kitchen and my mom or sister said it was coming toward me (which is wasn't, they were just trying to make me freak out) so i jumped up on the kitchen table which then fell down because the leg broke. Warning: Don't joke about bugs around me or something may end up broken.

When I see a bug I seriously have no control over myself and my heart starts beating fast and I feel like i could faint (and screaming or gasping is usually involved)... Anyways, I am beginning to believe they have figured out how afraid of them I am and they are now attacking me just for fun. Everyday in the past week or so I have looked down to find a bug right by me. I love summer but now can not wait until it is over just for the bugs to leave. This post is ridiculous but I needed to let people know my pain....

Meet the Cast

So I figured this being my first blog was a good chance to introduce the cast of people I will most likely talk about....

I guess I will start with myself, naturally :)

I'm still in school, but this is my last year I promise (well maybe)! I am attending ASU West and am in the Early Childhood Education Program. I plan on being a kindergarten teacher, if I can get over my fears of teaching. I love shopping, reading, cleaning, traveling and being with my family and friends. I also love my shoes and purses and my little Mazda3....

My blog is named flipping out because my family believes it easy to make me flip out and they love to try to make me flip out. :)

The next three members of the cast are my nieces and nephew.

First off Katie:

Katie is a bit of a drama queen, though she adamantly denies this....

She is 10 years old
She loves soccer and singing and is very good at it.

Her favorite colors are green, black and hot pink.

She is also bossy and has continually told me what to write as I am doing this blog!

Next up is Ashlyn:
Ashlyn is a little bit of a devil child, however she would most likely admit to this.

She is 8 years old.

She loves dancing and playing volleyball.

Her favorite color is blue.

Last is Cody:

Cody is the cutest little boy ever, and also a superhero.

He is 2 years old.

He loves dressing up and jumping off of things.

He loves watching superheros like Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear, and Batman all day long!

His favorite color is blue (I'm guessing since he says everything is blue).

The last of the major cast is the rest of my family:

First off my parents:

My mom is named Doris and my dad is named Jim.

They love their kids and grandkids.

They also love traveling, tv, eating, and having fun (see where I get it from?)

My mom is a bit of practical jokester.

My dad is a gun freak.

My brothers and sisters make up the rest of the ensemble:

First off is the oldest, Mike:

He loves video games, movies, tv, and hanging out with friends.

Secondly my older sister Sam:

She loves her husband, children- who were introduced above- eating out, interior decorating and crafts.

Next her hubbie Jason:

He loves fighting, shooting, and football.

Lastly my little brother John:

He likes video games, paintballing, and hanging out with his friends.

I am sure other "guest stars" and "supporting cast" will pop up but these brief intros should help you as you read my blog!
